HORSES TO RIDE

Jan went to the stable. There were 4 horses. Jen took Moonbeam. He was 7 years old, big, black and brown horse. A litle later her sister came out with another horse. They were going to exercise the horses together. A few minutes later her sister started talking about a new doctor ...Just when  Staisy  raised her hand to make a point the horse bucked her off.She fell on her head and shoulders.Jan rushed to see if Staisy was all wright.She put Staisy in a sitting position.Jan didn't see any blood she thought that was good.Just then when she unbuttoned her blouse she said:Oh no.

AT THE THRIFT SHOP

Jim went to the thrift shop. He wasn't looking for anything in particular. He liked to  go there just to browse. A big sign on the door said OPEN.The thrift shop opened at 10 a.m. and closed at 2 p.m.The thrift shop didn't work only on Sundays and Mondays.

Two women worked at the thrift shop. They were volunteers, and one lady worked in a big room in the back. She put price tags on the clothes that were brought.Their only payment was that they could buy and see the clothes that were brought in before the costumers did.

Jim walked in and said hello. One of the women said hello too.She knew him  because he was a regular costumer. Jim asked what was new. The woman laughed and said that nothing was ever new in a thrift shop. Everything that was brought in was old and used.

Jim looked at a watch that was in a plastic display case and asked if he could see it.

NANCY AND HER SON

Nancy just moved to America with her 8-year old son. Her son was all she had. Nancy only spoke her native language. Nancy and her son found an apartment in Arcadia.They were there only 2 months.

One day the neighbors' dog jumped over the fence.The dog ran towards Nancy's son. Then Nancy got between the dog and her son. Nancy screamed at the dog turned and walked away.Nancy was ready to punch the dog in the nose. They stayed in the apartment that weekend.

Then they found another apartment that was close to her son's school. Nancy and her son walked everywhere.

One day her son started to cough really badly. He had an asthma attack.The walking was making his asthma worse. Nancy knew she needed to buy a car.

She called the Honda dealer and told him that she needed to buy a car. She spoke to a man who knew her language. She told him to pick her up.
