Julius Ceaser

Today we watched the video 'The conspiracy of Julius Cesar'. They were talking about  power. If some man had too much power and if you were his closest friend would you try to stop him..The same thing happened in Rome in 44 BC. Rome first had an emperor than some men stopped this. They made a council so no man should have too much power. Julius  became a leader of Rome. He was winning wars, he bacame very rich. Rome was becoming big very big. The people built statues to honor him. They built buildings and they renamed a month Julius but today we call it July that month is for Julius Cesar. He died on the 15 of May when they stabbed him.He arranged a meting when he was going to the council and over 60 people with knifes killed him.They stabbed him from all sides.A close friend was with the killers and when Julius Cesare saw him he gave up the fight.Some say what the friend did was an act of betrayel but some people said what he didn't want Julius Cesare to be handling that much power.When Julius Cesare died his close friend Marcus Antony lead Rome but wasn't that powerful like Julius was.
