Wrigley's Chewing Gum

Wrigley's chewing gum was actually made  to be given away as a premium product. In his teenage years Wrigley worked as a soap salesman in his father's factory. The selling price for the soap was 5 cents, The sales were high but not very profitable.
Wrigley convinced his father to make the price to 10 cents and trow in a premium gift.Wrigley's idea increased the sales rapidly. A few years later Wrigley opened his own factory for merchandise. He  sold products with premium gifts. As the sales of his products increased because of the premium gifts he needed a new idea for a premium gift. This is why the idea for chewing gum was born. The premium gift soon reached a big popularity. Wrigley decided he should sell chewing gum as a regular product rather than a premium gift.Wrigley introduced two new flavors witch were fresh fruit and mint. To this day these two flavors are his most popular.
